5 Fitness + Nutrition Tips To Motivate You
1) Stay Hydrated
Drink water - there are so many benefits! Adequate water intake decreases the risk of dehydration and muscle cramping while increasing energy. This is especially important if you exercise or participate in intense physical activity. Start with our STAMINA pre-workout mixed into 8oz of water approximately 30 minutes before your workout. Pro tip: Carry our Sweat Supps Shaker Cup with you throughout the day as a reminder to get your fluids! I find when I’m at home, I use a tumbler with a straw rather than refill a glass over and over.
2) Level Up Your Playlist
A playlist can make or break your workout. We all know the struggle of showing up on the days we don’t want to, and sometimes the right song really improves your energy. If you’re looking for something new to listen to, our trainers at Sweat Club are featuring one of their favourite artists every month. Check out this playlist we’ve been enjoying at the Club.
3) Plan your workout ahead of time
Did you know that you are more likely to achieve a goal if you write it down? Similarly, putting something on your calendar, in an agenda, or whatever you use - you are more likely to show up and prioritize it. Treat your workout like you would a meeting- show up prepared. Plan ahead, choose the video you’ll follow from our Sweat Club Connect Library or check the weekly schedule at Sweat Club. If a class is full, join the waitlist as things change quickly!
4) Get a workout buddy or community
There is strength in numbers. Having one person, or even a small group to keep you accountable is a game-changer. Helping others, sharing progress, and doing daily check-ins will help you level up your fitness routine. If you’re looking for an accountability group, check out Laura’s LC Challenge program for meal prep ideas, workouts, and endless motivation. Bonus: you’ll join an amazing community of like-minded people bettering themselves every day!
5) Fill your cupboards with food that makes you feel good
Adding food to your pantry that is delicious and good for you will make those cravings so much easier! Food is not something you should use to reward or punish yourself with. After all, YOU know your body best.
