The Benefits Of A Pre-Workout Supplement

The Benefits Of A Pre-Workout Supplement

What is Stamina? It’s a pre-workout formula designed to give you a surge of energy and mental focus.

Benefits

Increases ENERGY∙FOCUSPERFORMANCE

How and when to take it?

Consume 1/2 to 1 scoop mixed with ~ 8 oz of water 30 minutes before exercise. We recommend starting with 1/2 a scoop to test your tolerance.

Our formula contains the following:

L-citrulline Malate - non-essential amino acid to improve blood flow. This is a vasodilator that gives you that desired “pump” look.

Creatine Monohydrate - helps build lean muscle and improves strength.

BCAA 2:1:1 - hydration/muscle soreness (2g per serving in our STAMINA product so it’s still great to stack with our BCAA supplement).

Beta-alanine - for ATP endurance (gives you that tingly feeling - totally normal).

Taurine - supports neurological development which is great for mental focus.

Caffeine Anhydrous - is made from the seeds and leaves of coffee plants. The word “anhydrous” means “without water.” Just like your cup of coffee- energy!

If this list has you feeling a bit confused, don't worry! We’ll be referencing Amino Acids, so let’s start there. Amino acids = compounds that form proteins. They are also an energy source for the body. The body uses amino acids to make proteins to:

  • Digest food
  • Grow
  • Repair tissue

And so much more.

There are twenty amino acids; nine are considered essential. They cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained through diet and supplementation. The remaining 11 are non-essential, meaning they are produced in the body.

L-citrulline Malate is a non-essential amino acid. How does it impact your workout? L-citrulline raises Nitric Oxide production in the body. This improves blood flow and enhances nutrient delivery to your muscles. Bottom line, this will increase your tolerance to physical exercise (Bescós, Sureda, Tur & Pons, 2012).

Beta-alanine is also a non-essential amino acid. When activated with another amino acid, L-Histidine, it’s condensed into Carnosine, a process called Carnosine synthase, aka ATP. ATP captures chemical energy obtained from the breakdown of food molecules and releases it back into the body to fuel other functions. In short, this is how energy moves throughout the body. Carnosine will act as a major buffer to protect skeletal muscles during extreme exercise, which will improve performance and prevent fatigue. It gives you that edge!

Taurine is a semi-essential amino acid that is not converted into protein. It's commonly found in energy drinks. Its main functions are to:

  • Keep the body hydrated
  • Help with digestion & proper absorption of vitamins
  • Regulate minerals within your cells
  • Support the general function of your central nervous system and eyes
  • Regulate immune system and antioxidant function (which protects cells from the damage of molecules that can cause illness)(Ripps & Shen, 2012).

Creatine is another amino acid, stored in your muscles and the brain. Many studies have proven that creatine supplementation increases strength and fat free mass.

The combination of amino acids (BCAA), protein, creatine, and caffeine, together can improve performance and recovery. You're probably familiar with the rush and alertness you get from a cup of coffee in the morning - it's the same thing!

What does all of this mean? Stamina is specially formulated to help you focus and give you the energy to take your workout to the next level.

Available in two flavours: Grape & Strawberry Lemonade. Shop now.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:

Citric acid - a weak organic acid found in citrus fruits. It is a natural preservative and is also used to add an acidic (sour) taste to foods and soft drinks. In biochemistry, it is important as an intermediate in the citric acid cycle and therefore occurs in the metabolism of almost all living things.

Natural & artificial flavour

Silicon dioxide - serves as an anti-caking agent to avoid clumping of the product.

Sucralose - a zero-calorie artificial sweetener. Sucralose is made from sugar in a multistep chemical process in which three hydrogen-oxygen groups are replaced with chlorine atoms.

Stevia - a natural sweetener and sugar substitute derived from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana, native to Brazil and Paraguay.
