What is Hyaluronic Acid?

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

The hydrating ingredient in our COLLAGEN.

WHAT IS IT?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the body's connective tissues and organs, found in the skin, eyes, joints and heart valves. It plays a role in cushioning and lubricating the body.

Aging and environmental factors like sun damage and dryness can cause a loss of HA in the skin, resulting in wrinkles and loss of plumpness along with other skin conditions.

HOW IT WORKS:

Supplementing daily with HA can reduce wrinkles and dryness in the skin. According to a study by Hsu TF et al., after 12 weeks of supplementing with 120mg per day, they concluded:

“Skin condition significantly improved in terms of; wrinkle assessment, water content, water loss, and elasticity. Thus, the consumption of HA may be used as a functional food that contributes to maintaining skin health.”

With a unique capacity to retain water, Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient in our Marine COLLAGEN formula. Each serving contains the optimal dose of 120mg.
